My favorite dessert is apple pie, but the crust is the most unhealthy part of it. Sometimes I just want something to satisfy my desire for dessert, but no all the calories! So, today, I made this!!! YUMMY
1 apple, peeled and sliced
1 tsp. butter
Sprinkle of cinnamon
2 Tbsp. Apple Cider
1 tablespoon chopped pecans
1 tablespoon flour
2 tsp. brown sugar
A little apple cider
Cinnamon to taste.
In food processor, process pecans, flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon until fine. Add a little apple cider, a teaspoon at a time and process until it makes a crumble. Set aside.
1) In a small pan, melt butter, add apple slices and cook on med heat until a little translucent.
2) Sprinkle with cinnamon, Add 2 tbsp. apple cider and cook until bubbly.
3) Add ½ the crumble mixture and cook and stir until bubbly and coated.
4) Turn onto plate, and top with remaining crumble. ENJOY!
