HOMEMADE BITS AND BITS

Homemade Bits & Bites
I bits & bites and I also love to share them This is a monster recipe so I had to use 2 roasting pans and split the recipe in half per roasting pan.
- 8 Cups of Cheerios (I used multigrain Cheerios)
- 9 cups of Shreddies cereal
- 5 cups of peanuts
- 400g bag of pretzel sticks
- 4 cups (1 bag) of seasonal gold fish (optional, I added in to add christmas colors to my batch)
- 1 box of Cheese Nips (small Cheese wafers)
- 3 cups of cheese bites (cheese sticks)
- 3 cups of canola oil
- 2 teaspoons of garlic powder
- 1 Tablespoon Seasoning Salt
- 3 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
In a roasting pan (or 2) Mix cereal, pretzels, nuts and cheese together stirring so it is well blended.
In a dish mix the oil, garlic powder, salt and W. Sauce. Continue mixing while pouring over your cereal mixture as this will all want to separate in the dish. Once mixture is poured over the cereal mixture, stir your cereal mixture so it is well coated.
Place roasting pans in the oven and bake at 250 F for 1h 40m stirring every 20 mins.
** For gift giving, have cleaned mason jars ready for once the bits & bites come out of the oven. While the bits and bites are still hot fill the mason jars, cover with the mason jar covers and set aside. The heat left in the bits & bites will vacuum seal the jars allowing you to store, or wrap up as the vacuum seal will keep your snack food fresh for gift giving
