It would make a great gift for teachers or co-workers that have an office door to hang it on...would definitely need to be an indoor wreath because of the candy canes....it is so simple to make and inexpensive too...I went to Kmart to get the supplies but you could get them at any dollar store(can use ornaments instead of the poinsettia and bows), walmart or craft store...my total cost was $21 which makes 3 of
these wreaths...so not bad for $7/wreath
Super easy...hope you try it!

Candy Cane Wreath
Items needed:
20 Candy Canes
1 medium poinsettia (can use a large ornament or snowflake instead...be creative)
4 small to medium bows (can use small ornaments instead...be creative)
3-4 inch diameter piece of cardboard (I cut a circle out of a box that I had)
Red Ribbon of Choice (mine was 12 inches)
clear tape (regular gift wrapping tape)
Hot glue gun
glue sticks for glue gun
Directions:
1. Make your sets of candy canes... put the backs of the candy canes together and tape where you will be applying the bows/small ornaments...makes 10 sets
2. on a flat surface arrange the candy canes in a circular pattern (shape of the wreath)
3. Using your Hot Glue Gun you will glue the candy canes to the circular cardboard (about 1/2-3/4 inch of the bottom portion of the candy cane)
4. Glue your Poinsettia/Snowflake to the front center of your cardboarded candy canes (laying flat it will be the cardboard then the candy canes then the poinsettia/snowflake
5. Now its time to put your bows, starting from the top...you leave the center one blank (where you will be hanging the wreath from) then apply a bow, skip a set of candy canes then apply a bow and repeat until all 4 bows or ornaments have been applied (you can apply to every set depending on how you want it to look)
6. then just add your read ribbon beneath the two curved parts of the top middle candy canes to hang.
