NO SEW BLANKETS
Customize them any way you want!!!!
1 ½ yds fleece material of solid color (2 yds for adult)
1 ½ yds fleece of another pattern
ruler
heavy paper
scissors
Measure a 5" square on your heavy paper with the ruler. Cut it out and put aside. This becomes your template.
Lay the two pieces of fabric, back sides together, and get them as even as possible. Lay on flat surface to do this. Any excess that is not even, cut and remove.
Starting in one corner, place the template you cut from paper down. Cut around the template. You should have a square removed from each corner of your material.
Begin on one edge and measure ½" from where you made your corner cut-out. Cut strips of 5" going all the way to the other cut out corner. Continue doing this all the way around fabric.
I found it easier to cut a few and then tie them together. This kept it from slipping and making uneven cuts.
To Tie:
1. You can grab one of each strip from top and bottom and tie a knot. This will cause the strips to fan out.
2. Take both strips and wrap around your finger, as if tying a balloon shut, and pull the two pieces through your loop. Twist them when you get the tie made to where you will have opposite patterns. Meaning you will have print showing when solid color is up or solid color showing when you have print side up.
Washing instructions:
Wash in cold water on gentle cycle. Dry in low temp dryer or hang to dry.
