For the chicken -
8 chicken legs (you can also use breasts, wings, thighs etc)
1 tsp Garlic Powder
3 TBS Butter
Salt & Pepper
For the Glaze
1 TBS Flour
5 TBS Butter
1 TBS Soy Sauce
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup Sriracha hot sauce (or use hot sauce of your choice)
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.
Chicken directions - melt the 3 TBS butter in a small sauce pan and stir in garlic powder, salt and pepper. Allow to slightly cool. Place chicken in a large bowl, pour this butter mixture over it and completely cover the chicken. Place chicken on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper. Bake in the oven at 400 degrees for 30 - 45 mins or until chicken reads 160 degrees on an internal meat thermometer. You will want to turn the chicken over half way through the cook time.
Glaze directions - about 10 mins before the chicken is done start the glaze. Melt butter in small sauce pan over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk to combine. Cook for 1 minute until slightly brown. Stir in the honey, Sriracha (or hot sauce of choice) and soy sauce. Bring to a boil and cook for a minute to slightly thicken.
Once the chicken is done, brush the glaze on the chicken and broil for 3-4 minutes until crisp. Watch it closely because due to the honey, it can burn easily.
