Apple Stuffed French Toast

Ingredients
3 large apple
1 teaspoon butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
8 large egg
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon nutmeg, grated
6 slices bread
confectioners' sugar (optional)
Directions-
Peel, core, and slice apple.
Cook apple slices in 1 teaspoon melted butter in a sauce pan over medium heat until soft.
Drain apples and toss in 1/2 teaspoon sugar and a dash of cinnamon.
Whisk together egg, vanilla, sugar, rest of cinnamon, and nutmeg and set aside.
Put bread in pan and start to cook it, add the apple mixture, spreading it out evenly over the bread. Cover with
second piece of bread.
Cook one side of the french toast, flip carefully and cook the other side.
Maybe 5 to 6 minutes on each side. Sprinkle with confectioner sugar, if you want.
